From Your Call to a Dry Building

1

Call and describe the water

Say where the water is coming from, how many rooms are wet and whether it has stopped. That is enough to decide between an emergency run and a booked visit.

2

Make the property safe

We talk you through shutting off the supply and staying clear of wet floors near outlets and cords. Nothing you have to force, nothing risky.

3

Inspection, readings and quote

The wet area is mapped with meters, the damage is photographed for your records, and you get the scope and the price before equipment is set.

4

Extract, dry and recheck

Water comes out, air movers and dehumidifiers run, and readings are taken each visit until the wet materials match the dry parts of the building.

What Safe Looks Like Before We Arrive

Electricity and standing water do not mix. If water has reached outlets, power cords, an air handler closet or a panel, stay out of the room and do not wade in to unplug anything. If a ceiling is sagging with water in it, stay out from under it and keep children and pets away.

If the water is a sewage backup, treat it as a biohazard: stop running taps and toilets anywhere in the building, keep everyone out of the room, wear gloves if you have to be near it at all, and leave the air conditioning off so the system does not move contaminated air through the house.

What does help: shutting off the water supply if you can reach the valve safely, photographing every room before anything is moved, lifting small items and rugs off wet floors, and writing down when you first noticed the water.

How the Quote Is Built

There is no flat price for water damage, because two houses with the same size puddle can need very different work. The quote follows the readings: how far the water traveled, how many materials are wet, whether the water was clean, gray or contaminated, how many days of drying the building needs and whether anything has to be removed and rebuilt.

You see that scope before equipment goes in, and you approve it. If the drying plan changes because a wall reads wetter than expected on day two, that gets explained before the change happens rather than appearing on a final bill.
